GOODE GREEN

From the glittering world of New York haute couture to Nashville’s celebrated Music Row,

Sheila Goode has studied people - their forms, moods, expressions, and movement - to capture

the essence of an individual within a single moment in time. After paying her dues in NYC

fashion photography, Sheila founded a Nashville studio where she photographed music legends

every day. Experience and passion for the art form cultivated a refreshingly candid and revealing

new vision for portraiture that brought her clients like Warner Brothers, RCA, Sony, and United

Artists. Sheila has photographed world-renowned personalities including Reese Witherspoon,

Princess Anne and Dolly Parton. Her candid and passionate portrait work has appeared in

Town and Country, Glamour, Time, Elegant Bride and The Los Angeles Times. As a little girl

Hayley Green traveled across the United States, Africa, and Europe with her fashion photographer

mother, meeting celebrities, musicians, and luminaries. She received a degree in Art History and

Film Production from prestigious Hampshire College, and was mentored by NYC photography

greats Joyce Tenneson and Cornell Capa. Hayley worked in film production at Visionbox Media

Group and HBO Films before exclusively pursuing photography, and she has provided commercial

shoots for HBO, Virgin, and MTV. She specializes in personal portraiture and wedding photography

for an expanding list of exclusive clientele such as Pamela Anderson and David Beckham, and now heads

the Los Angeles Goode Green studio.

{Watercolor – Riley and Cassidy loved the Gardens}

Article in “Parent’s Magazine” about our local hero Riley Braden. She was so excited about getting her picture made for the Magazine and sharing the stage with her little sister Cassidy.

On a steamy day last MAY , Riley Braden, then 5 , was swimming at a Destin, Florida hotel pool with a neighbor. Nearby, a vacationing couple was enjoying the heat with their two young girls, one around 18 months and the other AN OLDER TODDLER.

As Riley played in the shallow end, she watched the 18 MONTH OLD amble over to the pool steps near her. “Then, as soon as I turned away—bloop!—she fell in,” she says. Riley, a strong swimmer, thought about shouting for help but realized she had to act fast. “There was no lifeguard, and the girl’s parents were sunbathing by the side of the pool with their clothes on,” she reveals. So she dove down about three feet and retrieved the child from the pool’s bottom. “When I brought her up, I shouted, ‘I’ve got the baby! I’ve got the baby!’” Riley says.
The girl’s parents jumped up from their chairs and came running. The toddler had only been underwater for a few seconds and—though coughing and crying—was fine. After thanking Riley, the couple returned to their hotel room with their kids. She never saw them again.

How did the first-grader manage to stay so composed? “She’d been taking swimming lessons since she was 2, so she feels very confident in the water,” says her mom, Jaime Braden, a nurse practitioner. “Plus, HER FATHER AND I WERE FORMER SEARCH AND RESCUE DIVERS , so the idea of saving someone is very familiar to her.”

For her heroism, Riley received the Girl Scout Lifesaving Award. She was also given an 8-inch golden key to the city in a special ceremony. It became her most prized possession. “She slept with it for two days and wouldn’t let anybody touch it for two weeks,” Braden says. Riley already knows what she wants to be when she grows up: “A lifeguard!”
